Lee was born November 15, 1932 in Bay City, Texas to Roy Sherry and Mabel Mangum Sherry. As the son
of a butcher, Lee grew up learning the same trade in his early years. At the age of 12 Lee gave his heart to
God and as a teenager, he dedicated his life to the service of God. In 1955 he graduated from Pentecostal
Bible Institute with a Bachelor of Theology degree. Lee was Ordained as a minister with the UPCI at the
conclusion of college. While in college he met and married Becky Sam Chrisley in 1955, his wife of 63
years. They went on to pastor churches in Tennessee and Illinois before being appointed as Missionaries,
initially to Australia in 1967, followed by Fiji, and finally Vanuatu. They served as missionaries for a total of
46 years.

There is no better example of a loving husband, than the life lived by Lee. He was a wonderful father who
exemplified how a man should be and act in all situations that life sent his way.

Lee was a constant and steady man of strength, always standing up for what he believed in. He found
pleasure in the daily routine of God's work, always going the extra mile to do it right. He was confident and
brave and trusted God in all things. To state it in a word, he was steadfast…a towering example to those
who really knew him.

Husband, Father, Uncle, Grandfather, Great Grandfather…he will be deeply missed, always in our hearts,
and forever loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Becky, and his son Jeffrey.

Lee is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter, Crystal Finch and her husband Karl; son, Mitchell Sherry and
his wife Caroleann; daughter, Twyla Moody and her husband Barry; son, Jonathan Sherry and his wife
Darla; daughter-in-law, Wynette Sherry; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
