Leland was born February 24, 1940, in Corsicana, Texas, to L.G. Dove and Wilma Ragsdale Dove. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst, Texas. Leland was a flooring installer for many years.
Leland loved being a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Leland is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; son, Scott Merritt and wife Sheila; daughter, Marsha Sullivan and husband Johnny; grandchildren, Aaron Merritt and Lisa Anderson and 5 great-grandchildren.
