Leslie Barnard

ARLINGTON -- Leslie D. Barnard, 61, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home of Grapevine. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Leslie was born in Fort Worth on July 11, 1951. He graduated from Northwest High School in 1969. Leslie was married to Margaret Fitts on May 25. They were married 45 years. Leslie worked at General Motors in Arlington for 33 years. He was a family man who enjoyed golf and the Dallas Cowboys. Survivors: Wife, Margaret; parents, Wallace "Batter" and Geneva Barnard of Justin; sisters, Debra Womack and Judy Robinson; children, Melissa Barnard and Roger and wife, Shauna Barnard; and grandchildren, Casey, Breanna and Rebecca Barnard. Poppy and Nana have also accumulated numerous "grandchildren." Memorials: In lieu of flowers, send donations to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or a charity of choice.
