Leslie Dean Reyman

June 19, 1941 — December 25, 2023

Leslie Dean Reyman was born June 19, 1941 in Dupree, SD to Harley and Florene Reyman.
Dean attended several rural schools where he and his sister often rode their horses to elementary grades in Ziebach County, SD. The family moved to Belle Fourche, SD just before high school so Dean could have some relief from his severe hay fever. He attended BFHS for all four years and was involved in Rodeo Club. He graduated in 1960 then attended Southern State College and got a
certificate in carpentry. Dean and Carol Lee Robertson married on June 2, 1963 in Belle Fourche, SD . They attended high school together but didn’t start dating until after they graduated. They raised 5 children and enjoyed many adventures as a family. He loved watching rodeos, motorcycling, camping and RVing,
doing carpentry work, playing games, reading, attending and serving at church, and most recently
writing his memoirs.
Dean retired from American Colloid Co. after about 25 years holding almost every position.
Previously he worked for Gillette Construction and was a self-employed contractor.
Throughout his whole life he most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved
sharing his memories of childhood with his sister and cousins. He had several childhood friends that
lasted his lifetime and were always deeply treasured.
Dean was proud of all of his children and their spouses. He loved the opportunity to spend time
with his grandchildren and supporting their activities. Upon retiring, he and Carol Lee traveled for
several years in their RV and worked at several different campgrounds. This gave them the
opportunity to visit their children as they were scattered in 5 different states. They loved taking the scenic routes and visiting as many state and national parks as they could.
Dean was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Christmas Day, 2023 after a sudden illness. He
was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, mother and father-in-law, brother-in-law, and
numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves many to cherish his memories: his wife of 60 years, Carol Lee; children Leslie (Kristina Hansen) Reyman, Peggy (Howard) White, Bonnie (Darrin) Rueb, Brenda (Alfonso) Linares, and David (Sherika) Reyman; grandchildren Joshua (Lisa) White, Nathan (Allie) White, Jonathan White, Rebekah (Ian) Card, Michael (Miranda) Rueb, Logan Rueb, Shianne Reyman, Dakota Reyman, Ambrious Castano, and Ariana Linares; great-grandchildren Calvin, Helen, Esther and Lucy White; Henry, Juliet and George White; and Cecelia Rueb; his sister, Norma (Les) Bryan and nephews Dale (Crystal) Bryan, and Jim (Stephanie) Bryan; sisters-in-law Joann Hines, Alice (Harry) Johnson, and brother-in-law Dennis (Francie) Robertson. He was loved by numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.
