Lester R. "Les" Jablonski

Lester R. "Les" Jablonski age 85, passed away suddenly at his home in Keller, TX on February 20, 2016. He was the beloved and loving husband for 60 years of Anita (Wiegand) Jablonski; the much-loved father and father-in law of Cathy (Richard Powers) and Rick (Peggy); a loving grandfather of 5 and great-grandfather of 3. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, a niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin Stanley Jablonski Sr and Mildred (Peglar) Jablonski and 3 brothers Edwin Stanley Jr, William, Harold and 1 sister Dorothy (who died in infancy). He was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, a member of the class of January 1950. He was a military veteran, having served in the Korean conflict as a member of the 62nd Topographical Engineer Company. In his business career he was a grocer, first working for others, then owning his own stores under the Tom-Boy and Tru-Buy brands. He was a kind man, a friend to many, with a marvelous sense of humor. His friendships lasted a lifetime. He loved playing golf (and has a hole in one to his credit) and penny-ante poker with his friends. Above all he loved his family dearly and liked nothing better than family gatherings. We will always miss him.
Funeral Service: Friday, February 26 at 3 p.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, TX. Visitation from 2-3 p.m.
