Lewis Glenn Bass

Lewis was born June 1, 1936 in Slater Missouri to Hobert and Jewell Bass. Lewis passed away at home April 5, 2023, in Bedford Texas. He grew up in Louisburg Missouri and then attended and graduated high School in Buffalo, Missouri. Lewis then attended Airline School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1955.

Lewis was employed by Delta Airlines that same year, April 1955 until January 1995 at total of 39 years and 9 months, working his way from loading the aircraft to operations to ticket counter to passenger service agent to auditor. At that time all employees had to wear a uniform with cap and tie, which he hated.

He loved the outdoors, camping, all sports but particularly baseball, basketball and football. He was a collector of pens, campaign buttons, watches, baseballs garage tools, loved knives, and old antique rifles.

Lewis married the love of his wife Joan M. Evans June 1957 until his death.
He had one son, Christopher Bass born March 19, 1974. He assisted with Boy Scouts, which led to Christopher achieving his Eagle status.

He will be greatly missed.
