Lewis Paul Schooling

(Lewis) Paul Schooling of Roanoke, TX, passed away on October 29, 2023 in Dallas, TX, just three short days after his 79th birthday. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, Daddy, Papa Bear, brother and friend to all who knew him. He was born on October 26, 1944 in Roanoke, TX as the youngest of 3 to Fred and Annie Lee Schooling. Paul was married to Patsy, the love of his life, for almost 60 years.
Paul and Patsy raised their family in and have been life-long residents of Roanoke. Paul was a gardening enthusiast and loved to travel. He loves his family dearly and his grandchildren had him wrapped around each of their fingers.

Paul retired in 2007 after 42 years of service with Mead Westvaco where he served as a maintenance mechanic.

Paul is survived by his wife, Patsy Schooling, children, Herchell Schooling, Nathan Schooling and his wife Carla, Beth Woods and her husband, David. Grandchildren, Garrett Schooling and his husband Garrett Kilgore, Meghan Schooling, Brittany Schooling, Brandon Schooling and his wife Jarea, Rachel Kanode-Johnson and her husband, Mark, Isaac Kanode and his wife Autumn. Great grand daughter, Caroline Jo Kanode, sister, Linda Farrell, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Annie Lee Schooling, brother, Billy Ray Schooling, and granddaughter, Lindsay Katherine Schooling.
