Lidia Cundiff of Keller, Texas passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother to all that knew and loved her. She she was born on August 2, 1938 in Floresville, Texas to Efren and Cayetana Arredondo. Lidia had an intense love for learning new things. She was the first in her family to graduate from high school then set out to business school and finally working for the civil service as a secretary stenographer with her heart set on traveling to places like The Hague or Paris. Lidia was sent to Tokyo, (Japan a last-minute alternate she didn’t expect to get) and enjoyed several years of traveling throughout Asia. While in Japan, she met and married Harry Cundiff who was stationed there with the Air Force. She then turned her focus onto raising her family including her two daughters and husband and moving closer to family in San Antonio. Throughout her life she volunteered at church and school spent many years as a youth leader, taught CCD, participated in and led many Bible studies and enjoyed time with her family. In her later years she followed her children to the DFW area and dedicated herself to enjoying and helping raise her grandchildren.
Lidia is survived by her daughter Elaine Sink, son-in-law Kevin Sink and granddaughter Olivia Sink of Keller, TX and daughter Sharon Boston, son-in-law Jason Boston and granddaughters Kaitlyn and Allison Boston of Roanoke, TX as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Lidia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harry, her mother, father, sister, brothers, and several dear nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM November 2, 2022 at Lucas funeral home in Keller. The funeral service will be held November 3rd at 11 AM at St. Michael’s in Bedford, Texas with a luncheon reception to follow. Interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston national cemetery in San Antonio, Texas on November 7th at 11 AM.
