Lillian was born in Bismark N.D. on November 10, 1927, to Arthur and Elsie Anderson. When she was about 4 years old her family moved to Columbus Ohio. After High School she attended Ohio State College learning shorthand and typing to become a secretary. While being part of her Lutheran Churches Young Adult group she met and would then marry Donald MacLeod. They were married on May 15, 1949.
Lillian grew up in the Lutheran Church, and then became a member of the Presbyterian Church after marring, as her husband was raised in the Presbyterian church. With her husband’s job they moved around. Living in Columbus OH, Oklahoma City, OK, Plainfield, IN. Vienna, VA, and then with Don retiring in Hurst, TX. She was a Deacon, Elder, and part of women’s groups in all the churches that they were members of.
Both enjoyed traveling. Driving around the U.S. to visit friends and family. Staying connected to friends and family was very important to Lillian. Their travels also include taking cruises and traveling to Europe and Hawaii. After the passing of her husband in 2002, she continued traveling with her daughter Donna, and granddaughter Julia.
Preceding her in death is her husband Donald MacLeod, her parents Arthur, and Elsie Anderson and her sister Mary-Ann Thomas.
Survivors: Sons Ronald MacLeod of Grand Prairie, TX, and wife Gigi, Douglass MacLeod of Azel, TX and wife Angela; Daughters Donna MacLeod of Hurst TX, Connie MacLeod of Keller, and her husband Frank; six granddaughters; three grandsons; 4 great granddaughters.
