Lillian Porter

March 1, 1931 — April 2, 2016

ROCKWALL -- Lillian Porter, 85, died April 2nd in Rockwall surrounded by her family and loved ones. A memorial service will be conducted at 11a.m. April 16, 2016, at the Holy Trinity by the Lake Episcopal Church, 1524 Smirl, Heath, Texas with Father Peter Getz officiating.
She was born March 1, 1931, in Vero Beach, Florida to Edward and Elizabeth McCorkle. Lillian was a Registered Nurse since 1952. She worked ten years at All Saints Hospital and also taught LVN School. Lillian worked at Birdsville ISD as a nurse and teacher. She was a volunteer nurse for 30 years with the Red Cross. Most recently, she was a volunteer Chaplain at Lake Pointe Hospital in Rowlett. Lillian enjoyed her Red Hat Group, bible study, traveling, theater, and living life to its fullest. Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, and a beloved granddaughter, Mary Waner.
Survivors include her son, Paul Waner and his wife Julia of Whitehouse; her daughter, Beth Noe and son-in-law Randall Noe, of Rockwall; her son Michael Sullivan and his wife Andrea of Tucson, Arizona; Eight grandchildren, Chris Waner, Derek Waner, Natalie Noe, Holley Noe, Hannah Sullivan, Mackenzie Sullivan, Sean Sullivan, and Ryan Sullivan; four great grandchildren, Kylen Waner, Addyx Waner, Koda Waner, and Lily Waner; and many other extended family and friends.
