Lillus Ann Mitchell Barboza

Lillus Ann Mitchell Barboza, 88, of Hurst passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at a local hospital in Bedford.
Visitation: Family will receive friends 9:30 am – 11:30 am, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Lucas Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a graveside will be held 12:00 pm at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, Fort Worth.
Ann was born November 11, 1933 in Fort Worth the daughter of Irene Viola Mason and Albert James Mitchell. She received her nursing degree from Saint Joseph Nursing School in 1954. Ann married Gilbert Barboza April 10, 1954 in Fort Worth. She was an Avid reader and loved classical music, cooking, working with flowers, and raising show birds with her husband Gilbert.
Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Doris.
Those left to cherish her memory: Her loving husband of 68 years, Gilbert Barboza; son, James Barboza; daughters, Ann Marie Shockley and her husband Tom, Carol Edgerton and her husband Dean; 4 grandchildren, Amanda, Megan, Kristin, and Kara; 4 great grandchildren, Carson, Emma, Madi, and Maverick.
