The family of Linda Alice Richards, aged 72 of Fort Worth, Texas, mourns her passing on October 5th, 2023.
Linda Alice Stowell was born to loving parents Margret A. (Raines) and Willard R. Stowell on November 8th, 1950 in Worthington, Minnesota. She graduated from Phoenix Union High School in Phoenix, Arizona in 1969, and attended the University of Maryland European Campus from 1981 – 1983 for Accounting. Linda began working for Pier 1 Imports in their accounting department, and she retired in 2015. Linda met and fell in love with Edward H. Richards in Pheonix. AZ. They were married July 29th, 1969 in Little Rock, AR and they celebrated 54 years of wedded bliss this year. Edward and Linda moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1989 and weathered the pandemic together. They were and are the loves of each other’s lives, and she will be greatly missed.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Willard R. Stowell and Margret A. (Raines) Stowell in February 2007; her brother Stephen Stowell in June 2019; and her sister Anna Stowell in June 1996.
Linda is survived by her adoring husband Edward H. Richards; her sons Kenneth and wife Leigh Ann, Bryan and wife Jennifer, and Michael and wife Amber Richards; her granddaughters Meighan Richards and Eleanor Wolf; her grandsons Grant, Conrad, and Russell Richards; her brothers, Willard Stowell, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Randall Stowell, of Warrensburg, Missouri, Roger Stowell, of Denver, Colorado; and her sisters, Frances Horn of Russellville, Arkansas and Sharon Stowell, of Riverside, California.
A public visitation will be held for Linda Stowell on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 between four and six o’clock pm at Lucas Funeral Home, located at 1601 S. Main Street, Keller, Texas 76248.
A committal service will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Veteran’s Cemetery on Monday, October 23rd, 2023 at 1:15pm, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Wreaths Across America made in Linda’s name.
