Linda Gertrude Whistler

Linda Gertrude Whistler was born on January 5, 1941 in Bristol, Pennsylvania to Howard and Edith Gertrude Focht. She was preceded in death by her parents who were cremated and interred in Pt. Loma, California. Linda is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Whistler of Bedford, Texas; her sister, Judy Steele and her husband, Ed of Cambria, California. She has two daughters also surviving: Michelle Dee Davis and her husband, Pat, as well as her granddaughter, Alexis Davis, all of whom reside in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Her second daughter, Kimberly W. Carlysle, resides in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Linda passed away as a result of melanoma cancer that she fought for 28 years. She lost her battle and died on December 2, 2020. The family asks that any gifts of sympathy be sent to the Skin Cancer Foundation.

A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Lucas Funeral Home Hurst located at 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76053.
