Linda Louise Williams

Linda Louise (Stanley) Williams, 75, passed away peacefully March 5, 2023. She was born August 15,
1947, in Monticello, Illinois to Cyrus Stanley and Ruth (Miller) Stanley. Linda married Robert in
Champaign, Illinois where they lived till 1978, when they moved to Medicine Mound, Texas where
Robert was from. In 2002, they moved to Burleson with their daughter and son-in-law, Bobby Sue and
Scott Nordblom.
Linda had worked in nursing homes and the Chillicothe Hospital for most of her life. When she wasn’t
nursing others, she always seemed to be nursing a family member. It was ingrained in her to take care of
others.
Other than her passion for family, she had a passion for crocheting. She made twin size afghan’s when
someone graduated high school or college. Then came the baby afghans! She could also make
potholders. Many family members have received these as gifts through the years. Her pot holders were
usually sot after at the family Christmas parties when they’d do White Elephant Gift Exchange.
She had great pride in her grandchildren; and we all know how she treasured her grandson, Roger. She
had the joy in helping raise him. She always wished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were
closer so she could have spoiled them.
Linda’s fierceness will be remembered by all.
