Lisa Theroff Davis, 59, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away peacefully after courageously battling breast cancer on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. She was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, October 3, 1961 to Jiggs Garcia and Pat (Garcia) Theroff.
Raised in Southern California, Lisa excelled in high school. Homecoming Queen, Girl's State Representative, Head Cheerleader, Student Council and Choir were just some of her achievements. After graduating high school she dove into the workforce bypassing college. A chance job in the freight industry would set her life's course. Once again she excelled, rising to National Account Manager for Southeastern Freight Lines. She commented frequently on how fortunate she was to work for such an outstanding company and have a job she loved.
A very spiritual person, Lisa loved the Lord deeply and relied on her faith as she battled cancer. She was blessed with wonderful friends whom she enjoyed being with both at home in Texas and while travelling for her job. Lisa's scope of friends was truly wide, extending from grade school to present day.
Endowed with a quick wit and fantastic sense of humor, Lisa lived life at lightning fast speed. She loved music and movies, played keyboards and sang. Music was a touchstone during her life, any situation could be made better with a song. As a 14 year old, Lisa toured Europe for several weeks singing with an elite choir representing America's Bicentennial.
Lisa's large extended family loved her dearly. Proceeding her in death is her step father Jack Theroff. She is survived by her mother Pat Theroff and father Jiggs Garcia, siblings Gina Van Orsdol (Jim), Erin Ballas (Sam), Jason Garcia (Jaime), Jennifer Garcia (Dana), five nieces and a nephew, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
