Lloyd Russell Duke, Jr. an amazing husband, father, and devoted man of God passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017.
Lloyd was born June 15, 1947 in Mercedes, Texas. He graduated from Weatherford High School in May of 1965. Lloyd served in the Navy/Fleet Marines from 1965-1966. He married Rosanne Scheel on July 18, 1987 in Fort Worth, Texas. Lloyd worked in Information Technology for 43 years. He retired from Southwest Airlines in 2009.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd R. Duke Sr. and Mary Evelyn Duke; brother, Frank Duke.
Survivors: Wife, Rosanne Duke; sister, Elizabeth Blaustein (John Blaustein); uncle and aunt, John and Juana Mosher; children, Matt Simpson (Brandi Simpson), Trey Duke, Brandon Duke, Matt Beal, and Danielle Charles; grandchildren, Star Simpson, River Simpson, Meadow Simpson, Gambit Beal, Bishop Beal; nieces and nephews, Paul Blaustein, Kristin Downes, Krista Blaustein, Ryan Scheel.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the American Cancer Society.
