Lois Ann Savoy (nee Biermeier) was born on January 23, 1944, in St. Paul, Minnesota, and passed away on March 28, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. She grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota with her parents and three sisters, Ginger, Janet and Joannie. Lois was preceded in death by her parents Ellen and Raymond Biermeier, and sisters Ginger Elias and Janet Maher.
Lois was working at a doctor’s office when she met and started dating Timothy Savoy, and this year would have been their 60th wedding anniversary. Lois was the beloved mother of four children; Charlene (Savoy) Chmielewski, Randal Savoy and Lisa, Michelle (Savoy) Flanery and Shawn, Tony Savoy and Wendy; 9 grandchildren Laney and Zoe Chmielewski, Tanner, Cassidy and Logan Savoy, Kate and Jack Flanery, Emily and Taylor Savoy.
The couple moved to North St. Paul, MN, in the late1960s, where they purchased their first family home. They later relocated to Forest Lake, MN, and after several wonderful years there, Tim’s career took them to Lee’s Summit, MO, Shoreview, MN, and eventually Fort Worth, TX. Lois was a proud wife of a Burlington Northern/BNSF railroad management employee.
Lois was talented in so many ways. She was an amazing cook, crafter, seamstress and had a strong belief in her Catholic faith. However, her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She and Tim were constant attendees at their sporting games and school activities, cheering them on. Lois had a green thumb, always knowing the tricks for growing the best vegetables and planting the most beautiful flower beds. She kept herself busy with knitting, crafting, and shopping. Lois will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile, wicked sense of humor and uniquely crafted gifts she would make for others. After retirement, she and Tim traveled extensively, enjoying many unique experiences and numerous cruises together. In 2021, Lois enjoyed her last big vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, having the time of her life.
Lois is survived by her loving husband Tim, her children, grandchildren, sister Joannie and several brothers and sisters-in-laws, numerous nieces, and nephews. All will greatly miss her.
