Lon Craig Thompson

Lon Thompson, 71, of Burleson passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Sunday, March 31 at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home.
Lon was born on January 28, 1948 and married his wife, Susan on September 5, 1967. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in May of 1975 from the University of Texas at Arlington. Lon worked for General Motors from December of 1967 to April of 2010, when he retired. Lon enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids and grandchildren. He loved to sit and watch soccer and baseball with his son, Darrin. When he wanted to sit around and relax he would usually turn on a John Wayne movie or any western movie he would find. He was the most caring and loving man you could ever meet and life will never be the same without him. Lon was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Marlys Thompson.
Survivors: Loving wife of 51 years, Susan Thompson; son, Darrin Thompson and his wife, Edith; daughter, Dana Crowson and husband, Joe Crowson III; sister, Lynne Diamond and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Gabriel Thompson, Mia Harris, Trentin Thompson, Blayne Crowson; niece, Kristin Diamond and nephew, Mackenzie Diamond.
