Minnie Loretta Smith McClure, originally of Houston, Texas, passed away on November 2, 2019 in Keller, Texas. She will always be remembered by those closest to her as a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was born on October 21, 1935 in Chatham, Louisiana to Waynie Oscar and Vernice Womack Smith. Loretta graduated from La Porte High School and went on to attend college at Lee College, studying Business Administration. After raising three children, Loretta became an Administrative Assistant at San Jacinto College in Houston. Loretta is survived by her middle son, Matthew Gentry McClure and his wife, Kristina Wittner McClure, of Keller. She is also survived by her daughter, Georgia Leigh McClure Altom and her husband, Clifton Michael Altom and her two grandchildren, Aubrey Katerine and Will Aaron Altom, also of Keller. She is preceded in death by her oldest son, Steven Andrew McClure, her mother and her father and her sister, Mary Frances Smith Morrison of Friendswood, Texas. The visitation will be held at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm. The funeral service and interment will be a private family event the following day.
