Lori Nerland, 56 of Colleyville, TX, was born on July 14, 1965 and passed
away on October 7, 2021. Lori was a devoted wife of 31 years to Jay and
a loving mother to Dakota and Dillon. She was a social worker, substitute
teacher, continuous volunteer, and a caring animal shelter volunteer. Lori
graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead and went on to a
master’s degrees from the University of Texas Arlington.
Grateful for having shared Lori’s life are: her husband, Jay, her children,
Dakota and Dillon, her parents, Delbert and Caroline Lowe, her brothers,
Paul, Mark, and Jon, as well as many nieces and nephews. Lori’s
friendship with all made her the guiding light to many. Her humor and
caring were always present.
Lori’s memorial service will take place October 12th at Lucas Funeral
Home, Grapevine, TX. Viewing will begin at 1pm and service will begin at
2pm. In lieu of flowers, Lori’s family requests a donation to your local
animal shelter.
