BEDFORD -- Lou Landry, 71, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, June 21, 2012.
Funeral service will be 11am Monday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4-6pm Sunday at the funeral home. Should friends desire, contributions in his memory are requested to the American Heart Assocition or the American Diabetes Association.
Lou, the son of Louis and Alice Lebolt Landry, was born March 5, 1941 in Aroma Park, Illnois. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and an avid sportsman. Lou coached Little League baseball for 30 years and took his 1966 team to compete in the Little League World Series.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Tara Smith and husband, Cary, Jondavid Landry and wife, Nancy Rodriguez, Shelly Landry, Derrek Landry and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Sgt. Randon Harvey, Hayden Smith, Ashden Smith, Ashley Landry, Jacob Landry, Chase Landry, Kaitlyn Landry, Andrew Morrison, Whitney Morrison, Nicolas Atendido; step-grandchildren, Heather Clayton, Mickey Benavides, Eric Benavides; mother, Alice Craig; brother Preston Landry; sister, Pam Lawson and husband, Larry.
