Lugardo Tomas Hurtado

Lugardo Tomas Hurtado, age 78, from The Colony, TX passed away on Wednesday, March 12 in Plano, Texas. He was born on June 16,1946 in Canoas, Nuevo Leon to Tomas Hurtado and Juana Salazar of Mexico. He was married to Marianela Suarez for over 50 years and the couple had 2 children. He served three years in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1971. Lugardo worked for AT&T for over 35 years.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends reading and watching his beloved Chicago Cubs. GO CUBS GO!

He is preceded in death by: Tomas Hurtado (Dad); Juana Salazar (Mom); Elsa Tamez (Sister); Olga Juarez (Sister); Araceli Gallegos (Sister); Aurora Ibarra (Sister) and Margarita Arellano (Sister).

He is survived by: Marianela Suarez Hurtado (Wife); Edgar Lugardo Hurtado (son); Monica Gonzales Hurtado (daughter-in-law); Angela Hurtado (daughter). Grandchildren: Cecilia Marie Hurtado and Paul Edgar Hurtado The visitation and rosary will be held Monday, March 17, 2024 from 7pm-9pm at Lucas Funeral Home, located at 1321 Precinct Line Rd., Hurst, TX 76053.

Inurnment will take place in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
