Luis Alberto Rivas-Ibarra

Luis Alberto Rivas-Ibarra, 44, of Bedford, Texas, passed away on November 2nd, 2024, in Keller, Texas.

A Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Saturday, November 16th, 2024, at Lucas’s Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held in his honor on November 17th, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lucas Funeral Home.

Luis Rivas was born in Mexicali, Baja, California, to Gregorio Rivas and Evangelina Rivas-Ibarra on December 30th, 1979. He married Sonia Rivas on May 11th,2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked as a Painter for his own company, Rivas drywall painting, for 7 years. 

Luis was known for his radiant personality and dedicated spirit. He effortlessly drew people in with his warmth and commitment to his work, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. He was the kind of person who lit up a room with their presence. Always with a smile, they had a way of making even the toughest tasks seem manageable with their infectious optimism and work ethic. Their energy was boundless, and it was clear they gave their best in everything they did, whether it was at work, with friends, or in their pursuits. Their determination was evident in how they approached every challenge—never one to shy away from hard work, they put in the effort and never gave up easily. But it wasn’t just about achieving success; they found joy in the process, in learning and growing. 

Luis is survived by his Wife, Sonia Rivas, Son’s Luis Rivas Jr., Daniel Rivas, and Aaron Rivas, and daughters, Maria Rivas and Samantha Rivas. Brothers and sisters, Leopoldo Rivas, Gregorio Rivas, Jose Rivas, Sandra Alvarado, Lupe Ozuna, and Eva Rivas. Parents Gregorio and Evangelina Rivas. Aunt & Uncle Adan Ibarra, Carmen Cowper, António Ibarra, Maria Ibarra.
