In Loving Memory of Lynn Leigh Bergoon “Mimi” DeWitt

Lynn Leigh Bergoon “Mimi” DeWitt passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on February 24, 1933, Lynn lived a long and full life surrounded by love and family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John; her husband Billy G. Bethea (the biological father of her children); her son, Jamie; and her granddaughter, Shelly. She is lovingly remembered by her brothers, Sidney Bergoon (Kelly), Ronnie Bergoon (Donna) and her half-sister Barbara Bergoon Finch; her children, Michael DeWitt (Denise), Sally DeWitt Adamcik (Jimmy), and Kelly DeWitt (Missie); and her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Adamcik Carson (Brian), Jared Adamcik, Amanda DeWitt Self (Jack), Matt DeWitt (Courtney), Jill DeWitt, Jamie DeWitt (Erin), and Dillon DeWitt.

 Lynn was also blessed with a growing legacy of great-grandchildren, including Ty, Tanner, and Tristan Carson; Abigail, Wyatt, and Jessy Self; Knox and Charli Adamcik; Layla, JJ, and Stoney DeWitt; Emma DeWitt; and Kelly Beagen. She is additionally survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 Proudly raised in Oak Cliff, Lynn graduated from Sunset High School and remained a devoted supporter of Texas A&M sports teams and the Texas Rangers. She was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where her faith played an important role in her life.

 Lynn loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Mimi.” She had a passion for playing cards, visiting estate sales and creating cherished memories during family gatherings.

 A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Lucas Funeral Home, located at 700 W. Wall Street, Grapevine, Texas, 76051. Following the service, a reception will take place at Grapevine Botanical Gardens, Bessie Mitchell House, 411 Ball Street, Grapevine, Texas.

 Mimi’s warmth, kindness, and love will forever be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
