Madge McDaniel

January 7, 1944 — September 3, 2024

Madge Larue McDaniel, 80, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in her home in Southlake, Texas just hours after completing her 63rd wedding anniversary.

Madge was born on January 7, 1944, in Morrilton, Arkansas, to Carmon and Jo Watts. She grew up in Aplin, Arkansas and graduated from Perryville High School in 1961. That same year she married Carroll McDaniel on September 2, 1961.

Madge will be remembered as someone who loved our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with all her heart. She was a Proverbs 31 woman being always busy in the home and preparing the most delicious meals. She dedicated her life to quietly serving her Lord by ministering to others through her many acts of generosity and charity to those in need...sending cards, preparing and delivering food and providing donations to those in need. To this day, her family is still learning of the many ways she ministered to others. We praise God for all the memories and unconditional love we received from her as a wife, mother and granny.

Madge is survived by her loving, devoted husband, Carroll McDaniel; her daughter, Sherry Harty of Richland Hills, Texas; her son, Steven (and Cindy) McDaniel of Round Rock, Texas; seven grandchildren, Weston (and Kristine) Harty, Ashton Harty, Hayden Harty, Logan McDaniel, Colton McDaniel, MiaBella Del Castillo; and one great-granddaughter, Theodora Rose Harty. Madge was a loving sister to her three brothers, Ron (and Carol) Watts, Doug (and Patricia) Watts, Greg (and Jeannie) Watts, and late sister, Peggy Watts Hardman. She was cherished by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and a faithful friend to many.

Visitation will be at First Baptist Church in Grapevine, Texas on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. There will be a private burial at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
