It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Major Bill Stephens, a man whose life was marked by unwavering dedication, service and love.
Bill was born on July 14th, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He peacefully departed this world on November 24th, 2024, in Denton, Texas in the presence of his mother and children. Bill’s remarkable journey through life was filled with courage, honor, and humility.
A distinguished veteran of the United States Army, Bill’s illustrious career spanned over 25 years, during which he served his country with valor and distinction.
He is survived by his children, daughter Jackie Ott and husband Rusty of Hickory Creek, Texas, son Billy Stephens of North Richland Hills, Texas, son Jesse Stephens of Denton, Texas, son Justin Meduri of Canby, Oregon, and many loving grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Bill Stephens Sr. and leaves behind his mother, Montie Ann Stephens of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and brother Jess Stephens and wife Janice of Hot Springs, Arkansas, also niece Margaret Bronk of Swansboro, North Carolina and nephew Mat Stephens of Dallas, Texas.
A military memorial service to honor Bill’s life and legacy will be held on Wednesday, December 4th at 10:15am, Dallas-Ft Worth National Cemetery. This service will celebrate his incredible life, exemplary service and lasting impact on those who were fortunate to know him. Bill will be remembered for his integrity, kindness and unwavering devotion to his family, country and to his Lord.
