Manuel “Manny” Guajardo

Manuel “Manny” Guajardo, of Justin, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at the age of sixty-three in Justin, Texas. He will be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, colleague, and friend to all that knew him. He was born on September 8, 1959, in Mission, Texas to Margarito and Josefa Guajardo. Manny graduated from Sharyland High School in 1977. Shortly after high school, Manny joined the Navy and served as a Communications Specialist aboard the USS Bancroft submarine. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, Manny earned an associate’s degree in electronics and continued as an instructor. He then served more than 20 years as an Airway Transportation Systems Specialist and finally as a National Air Space System Area Specialist for the Federal Aviation Administration. Manny loved music and was an avid guitar player. He also loved animals and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Manny is survived by his wife of 28 years, Michelle Guajardo, of Justin, Texas, his mother, Josefa Guajardo, of Mission, Texas, his sister, Alicia Emerick, of Spring Branch, Texas, his sister, Angelica Andis, of Gun Barrel City, Texas, his sister, Aurelia Brantley, of Brenham, Texas, his brother Matias Guajardo, of Acworth, Georgia, and his brother, Marcos Guajardo, of Frisco, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Margarito Guajardo, and his sister, Aurora Guajardo. Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, September 21 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas. There will be a graveside service at 1 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, September 21 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to K9s for Warriors.
