Marcia (Me’mere’) Rodrigue, 77 passed away peacefully at her home in Bedford TX Sunday Sept. 19, 2021

Marcia Christina (Reed) Rodrigue was born to John and Carrie Nell Reed on April 18th, 1944, in Pasadena CA. She graduated from Narbonne High School in Harbor City and lived in Southern CA where she met the love of her life Maurice “Moe” Rodrigue. Moe and Marcia were married on May 16th, 1965, and started their family with Karen Christine and Cheryl Ann. They celebrated their 56th anniversary this year

Marcia / Me’mere’ was an original California girl with her “movie star” looks and carefree attitude. She taught us to enjoy the little things in life that could easily go unnoticed. Like the song a bird sings on a lovely spring day. She would often race down to the beach with her girls to watch, almost mesmerized, as the sun slipped into the Pacific only to do it again the next day as if she were seeing this spectacle for the very first time. She taught us to love with compassion and care for each other regardless of our differences. She was a model for acceptance and understanding and boy did she like to dance!

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents John and Carrie Nell Reed.

Survivors include her husband Maurice Rodrigue, brother Terry Reed, 2 daughters Karen Conroy from Argyle and Cheryl Rodrigue from Bedford, 3 grand-children Amber Finn, Celeste Conroy and Eli Conroy, 1 honorary grand-child Taylor Cribbs and 2 great grand-children Oliver Finn and Willow Finn along with a host of loving friends and family.
