Marcus K. Boucher

September 21, 1969 — July 4, 2023

Marcus Kent Boucher, 53, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

Funeral: Saturday, August 5th 11am at Lucas Funeral Home, Grapevine. TX Inurnment following at Grapevine Cemetary 916 Dooley St. Grapevine, TX.

Marc was born September 21, 1969 in Fort Worth TX to Father, Sammy Nelson and Mother, Helen Boozer. Marc spent his childhood in Germany and TX while his father was in the Army. This sparked his love for Germany, outdoors, and travel. Later he would discover a lifelong passion for cars particularly Volkswagen and muscle cars these last several years.

Marc graduated from Granbury HS in 1988 and went to Tarrant County College where he met Rachael Martin in 1991. Marc and Rachael dated 7 years before marrying in May 1998 in Ft Worth, TX and spent most of their married life in Bedford TX. When they met, they had sparks. They spent time camping, going to movies, travelling and much more. They spent many hours holding hands and having conversations about the latest events or things he had discovered. In 2005, they welcomed Maxwell Kent to the family. They added Christmas slumber parties and cruising, scouts and all of the kids activities.

Marc spent many years working in the car industry because of his passion and enjoyed it. He later changed to customer service in the insurance field. He was a member of Sports Car Club of America, NRA, HEB PTA, and a group of car enthusiasts called "The Car Family". He raced his cars on racetracks and in rallies and enjoyed watching car races as a spectator.

Marc was a self learner and was skilled in so many areas from camping, fixing things around the house, car repairs and customization and was known to help others. Marc also loved spending time with family, friends, Boy Scouts and helping Max grow up. He spent time teaching Max how to do things, including survival skills, home repairs, and even how to wear cologne so not to be too much. He shared these skills as a leader in scouts, as he taught life skills to Max and others his age. Marc supported Max until he became an Eagle Scout, volunteered at Max's school events and shared his passion for cars with him. Marc and Rachael hosted many events and holidays at their home with family and friends, many of whom have become practically family today.

Marc was predeceased by his step-father Pressley Boozer II; his uncle Tommy Poindexter, 3 loving grandparents and his dear friend, Norman Burton.

Survivors: Wife, Rachael & son Max. Father, Sammy (Suk) of Fountain, CO and Mother, Helen of Granbury, TX, Grandmother, Jean Clements of Azle TX, 3 Brothers, 2 sisters, 2 Sisters-in-Law, 1 Brother-in-Law, extended loving family and Ernest Teng, who was like a brother to him.

He was loved and is missed.
