Margaret "Peg" Carmany

December 15, 1924 — May 26, 2017

Margaret “Peg” Carmany was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 15, 1924, the only child of Roy and Pearl Randall. She passed away peacefully on May 26, 2017 at the age of 92 in Grapevine, Texas. Margaret will be greatly missed by her family.

Margaret was married to Alvin Daugherty (deceased) and then Lowell Carmany (deceased). Margaret was mother to Gail Rebert (Terry), Roy Daugherty (Lydie) now deceased, Marsha O’Keefe, and Scott Daugherty (Diana). She is survived by eight grandchildren: Shawn, Olivia, Christopher, Matthew, Jenna, Alex, Elizabeth and Sara and two great- grandchildren, Cameron and Brayden.

Margaret was an artist who enjoyed drawing and painting in oils. During her life she was a member of the garden club. She was an avid bowler, was a Cleveland Browns fan. Her favorite pastime activity was watching baseball, especially the Texas Rangers. She enjoyed reading. Margaret attended Shaw High School in Cleveland. Later, she worked for the Eaton Corporation. After retiring she moved to Florida and South Carolina where she enjoyed fishing, bowling and gem mining.

Her final days were spent in Grapevine, Texas surrounded by her family.

Margaret will be interned on Thursday, June 1 at Grapevine Historic Cemetery with a graveside service at 11:00 officiated by Reverend Terry Rebert.
