Margaret Annette Evans

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Margaret Annette Evans' passing on December 21, 2024, at the age of 77. A long-time resident of Burleson, TX, Margaret was born on November 30, 1947, to Leslie and Neva Hickey in Hillsboro, TX.

Margaret dedicated an impressive 51 years working at Pizza Hut in Burleson, where she became a beloved part of the community. She had a green thumb and loved spending her free time mowing the lawn and tending to her roses. Her dogs brought her immense joy, and she cherished the time spent with them. As a member of the First Baptist Church in Burleson, her faith was a guiding light in her life.

Margaret leaves behind her son, Jason Burks; her daughter, Jodi Burks, who she devoted her life to; her brothers Dalton, Ray (and partner Darleen), and Rickey (and partner Audrey); as well as several nephews and nieces who adored her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Evans, and her parents, Leslie and Neva Hickey.

A graveside service will be held to honor Margaret on December 27, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Burleson Memorial Cemetery. Everyone who knew and loved her is welcome to come and celebrate her life as we gather together in remembrance. Margaret will be missed, but her spirit will remain in the hearts of those she touched.
