Margaret Elizabeth Davis Fisher, 93 years of age of Crowley, Texas, passed away on July 9th, 2018, just seven days away from her 94th birthday.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Avenue, Burleson, TX 76028, with a private family arrangement for a burial at sea.
Margaret was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on “The Blackwater” Dredge boat, to George and Lucy Davis on July 16,, 1924.
She was the oldest of seven children and was raised in Bay County, Panama City, Florida.
She started her career as a bookkeeper at Tyndall Airforce Base, and after moving to Texas went to work for Bob Doty & Associates.
Margaret was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crowley for over 30 years prior to her move to St. Francis Village. She was a master seamstress with a love for quilting, she took joy in volunteering at the House of Hope, greeting the congregations at her church, and deep sea fishing each summer in the Gulf of Mexico. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and took pride in her family.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Joe Ed, Mildred, Edsel, Clara Nell, and Sylvia.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Shirley Secchio, and her son, Van Fisher, and their spouses, and four granddaughters, Lauren Hayman, Julia Cradock, Kayleigh Fisher and Kinsley Fisher, along with one great grandson, Eli Hayman. Her youngest brother, Grover Davis resides in Panama City, Florida.
