Margaret Lois (Bramlett) Griffin passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 14, 2019. Lois was born in Paris, Texas, on September 3, 1928, to John Wesley and Lola Faye (Barnes) Bramlett and married Ray Edward Griffin from Blossom, Texas, in 1947. They moved to Fort Worth in 1950, and both later retired from the Fort Worth Public Schools.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, her parents, and three sisters—Johnnye Faye Harris of Austin, Virginia Smith of Mesquite, and June Hower of Haltom City.
Survivors of Lois and Eddie are their beloved children: 4 daughters and their spouses—Vicki and Johnnie Pitts of Weatherford, Diane and Gary Spooner of Weatherford, Debbie and Mike Conner of Azle, and Lori and Jeff Griffin of Azle; and 5 sons and their spouses—Johnny and Terry Griffin of Fort Worth, Steve and Danna Griffin of Springtown, Terry Griffin of Azle, Rick Griffin of Fort Worth, and Scott and Tracy Griffin of Weatherford; 34 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and more on the way; one sister, Barbara Swank and husband Bill of North Richland Hills; brother-in-law Gene Hower of Haltom City; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 18, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas, and the chapel service will be on Friday, July 19, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., also at Lucas Funeral Home. A private interment will follow at Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas.
