Margaret Virginia Jenkins

Margaret Virginia Jenkins, 73, of Burleson, passed away December 25, 2020 at her home. A memorial service is still pending at this time.
Margaret Jenkins was born October 10, 1947 in Batesville, Arkansas to Marcus Monroe and Daisy Virginia (Riley) Felder. She grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas, and graduated from North Little Rock High School. After high school she attended Eastern New Mexico University in Clovis, New Mexico and received her Associates degree in nursing. She worked at Portales Hospital as an RN. She retired in 2006 after 17 years.
She married Gary Lee Jenkins in 1988, in Farwell, Texas. They were happily married for 32 years. Margaret was a member of the Catholic church, but converted to the Baptist Church. She was very involved at Cana Baptist Church in Burleson. She enjoyed needle point, took first prize in Saint Mary’s County, Maryland county fair for two years. She also received awards and accomplishments as an RN.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest child, Patricia Kawasaki.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; sons, William Hewitt, Jr. and Thomas Hewitt; daughter, Kathy Hewitt Castillo; grandchildren, Travis and Justin Castillo, Sebastian, Montana and Michael Hewitt, and Gavin, Seth, and Logan Walters; and sisters, Ann Pace and Nina Furman.
