Margaret Louise Lavely

Margaret Louise (Daily) Lavely, age 77, went to be with the lord on October 29, 2017 in Burleson, Texas. Margaret was born October 1, 1940 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Edward and Ruth Daily.

Margaret was a resident of Burleson, Texas for forty years and was a retired secretary after serving an extended time with State Farm Insurance. Margaret enjoyed many different types of craft activities, most recently being involved in quilting. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, dining out and enjoying social activities. Margaret was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Cleburne for many years, serving in several leadership capacities within the church.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of forty years Louis E. Lavely, Sr. and by both of her parents. She is survived by her three children Louis E. Lavely Jr. (Anne), Janice Patterson, and Nancy Schlotzhauer (Rodney) and Grandchildren Andrew Lavely, Emily Schlotzhauer, Matthew Patterson, and Erin Schlotzhauer, along with cousins and extended family in Pennsylvania.

A visitation celebrating Margaret’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 6-9 pm at Lucas and Blessing Funeral home located at 518 W. Johnson Avenue, Burleson, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined.
