Margaret Ann Lawler

May 12, 1947 — May 5, 2022

Margaret Ann Lawler was born on May 12, 1947 in Cleburne, Texas to the late Frances Margaret (Montgomery) Richeson and Clarence Raymond Richeson. She passed away peacefully in the midst of her family and loved ones on May 5, 2022 at her home in Haughton, Louisiana.
Margaret had a quick smile, a charitable spirit, a thirst for adventure, and a circle of friends that reaches from South Africa to Brazil to the Fiji Islands. She lived by her motto that you could never have too much fun. She jumped into spontaneous dinner plans, whisked away on weekend field trips all over the US, and shared champagne brunch after a good night out with her girlfriends. Being an American Airlines retiree, she and her husband became known to all as the Jetpair and have been to over 50 countries together. Her clever sense of humor and quick wit made her the life of any event. She was “Party Marg” and “the hostess with the mostest”. She always said the more the merrier and brought her friends, families, and neighbours together. Home was wherever she was but she created the She Shed as a little “beach oasis” in her home in Louisiana to share with her daughter, granddaughters, and friends. She loved plants and plants loved her which gave her one of the most beautiful tropical gardens you have ever seen. She spent her mornings walking and appreciating the beauty of the small things and she never missed the small things!
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Charles Richeson, Doyle Richeson, and Lois June Braswell and son, Larry Hall.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Jeral W. Lawler of Haughton, Louisiana; adoring children, Angela Rhodes and husband, Brian of Fort Worth, Texas, Ryan Jeffrey of Irving, Texas, Garrath Jeffrey and wife, Karena of Providence Village, Texas, and Angela Lorbek and husband, John of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Alexis, Ryan, T.J., Tyler, Britney, Michael, Kevin, and Paige; great-grandchildren, Liam, Cadence, Salynda, Karina, Bobbie and Ashley; one brother, David Richeson of Cresson, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends from all over the world.
