MARGARET H. NIXON

Margaret left this world on May 25, 2012 after a long bout with alzheimers.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Service will be held at 2PM Thursday, June 7th in the chapel at First Methodist Church, 521 Pipeline Rd, Hurst, TX 76053

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church, 5510 North Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012

Margaret was born May 4, 1917 in Bullard, TX and grew up in nearby Frankston and Palestine, Texas. She graduated from Texas Womens University,Denton, TX and married Arless B. Nixon. They lived in Kilgore, TX, Mobile, AL, Fort Worth, TX and finally Phoenix, AZ. She taught third and fourth grades at public schools for many years and was a docent at the Rosson House in Phoenix. She and Arless were avid rock hounds and spent many days with friends searching for natural treasures. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and long time member of the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arless Nixon.


SURVIVORS: She is survived by her sister, Ethel Foster and two sons, Phillip Nixon and Gus Nixon as well as five grandchildren.
