Margaret Ann (Titzer) Pfarrer, age 85, died after a long battle of Alzheimer’s disease on July 26, 2022 in Azle Manor Nursing Home, Azle, TX. She was born on June 23, 1937 in Chandler, Indiana, the daughter of Robert and Florene (Welte) Titzer.
Margaret graduated from Reitz Memorial High School in Evansville, IN. Class of 1955. She met her
husband, David Michael Pfarrer, at a dance. They were married at St. John’s Catholic Church in
Elberfeld, IN, on April 22, 1961. After spending their first years of marriage in Evansville, they moved to Hurst, Texas, in 1965. Together the had four children. They were married for 36 years until the early passing of her husband in 1997. Margaret was a homemaker. She loved to decorate her home, garden, and spend time antique shopping. However, art was Margaret’s passion. She enjoyed painting with oils and watercolor. She was a member of the Trinity Art Guild and had participated in many art shows.
Margaret is survived by her four children Julie Bird of Southlake, TX; David Michael Pfarrer II of Azle, TX; Karen Mazur of Nevada; and Jane Shoenfeld of Azle, Tx; brothers Robert and Paul Titzer; sister Marilyn Baker; sisters-in-laws Mary Titzer, Pam Titzer, Marilyn Titzer, Donna Pfarrer, and Cynthia Foster; four grandchildren Michael Rodgers, Samantha Lawler, Hudson Bird, and Jonathan Pfarrer; and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband David Michael Pfarrer; parents; brothers Don and Richard Titzer; brothers-in-laws Frederick Pfarrer and Ralph Foster.
A service of remembrance will be held on August 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in
Grapevine, TX, with a reception following at Julie Bird’s home. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the
Alzheimer’s Association will be appreciated.
