Margarita “Maggie” Fridrich, a loving wife, mother of 5, grandmother of 16, great grandmother of 15 and great-great grandmother of 2 left this world on September 2, 2022 at age 82.
Maggie was born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. When she was a child, her parents moved to El Paso, Texas where she was raised, went to school and worked various and sundry jobs. In her mid-twenties she met and married her husband, Joe, and they ultimately moved and settled in Bedford and were members of St. Michael Catholic Community.
She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
She loved spending time in the kitchen creating her fabulous Mexican meals for friends and family. One of the big occasions was during the Christmas season when the whole gang came to the house, and she would orchestrate preparing homemade tamales. The family had such good times together during those Christmas holidays, and she especially enjoyed having a nip of tequila with the rest of the gang.
Gardening was a favorite past time. She loved to plant flowers each spring - and the roses? Wow! There are numerous red, yellow and pink roses still thriving in the front of the house that were planted by Maggie decades ago.
Her raucous laughter and beautiful smile will be forever missed. May God bless her and may perpetual light shine upon her.
