Margarita "Maggie" Gonzales

Mrs. Margarita “Maggie” Gonzales, 86, of Fort Worth, TX passed away with peace and grace on April 22, 2017 with her loving children by her side.

Margarita was born on June 12, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. On August 3, 1946 she married Pedro Gonzales. The couple had ten children. Margarita worked at Lockney General Hospital until her retirement in 1995. She resided in Lockney for fifty years before moving to the Fort Worth Area for her remaining life. Margarita was a devoted Catholic and loving mother who lived a selfless life. Her strength and love guided her family.

Margarita is survived by her brother Gregorio Guevara of Merced, California; and her children Pat (Becky) of Louisiana, Julian (Ann) of Granbury, Martha Mojica (David) of Waco, Victor (Cathy) of Arlington, Lupe Hinojosa (Joe) of Fort Worth, Domingo (Annette) of Fort Worth, Mario of Fort Worth, and Greg (Diana) of Fort Worth. She had 25 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Pedro; their two sons, Jesus and Domingo; her sister Adela Carrillo; and brother Ignacio Angeles.

The Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral Mass following at 10:30 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Lockney, TX on Saturday, May 13th. The burial will proceed at Lockney Cemetery.

The family is accepting flowers on Saturday morning, May 13th to San Jose Catholic Church 310 S. E. 4th Street, Lockney, TX 79241.
