In Loving Memory of Margarita Martinez
Margarita Martinez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2023, at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family in Cleburne, Texas. Born on April 30, 1944, in Laredo, Texas, Margarita led a life of compassion, generosity, and love, leaving an indelible mark on all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Margarita's vibrant personality was infectious, and her laughter filled every room she entered. As a faithful member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Margarita found solace in her spirituality and actively participated in various church activities. She had a green thumb and found joy in tending to her beautiful garden. Margarita's love for life extended to the occasional trip to the casino where she enjoyed the thrill of the game. Margarita's was a diligent donor to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a cause that was dear to her heart.
Above all, Margarita's greatest joy was her family. She was their queen She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Bruno Martinez. Together, they created a strong and loving bond that weathered the storms of life. Margarita's children, Maria, Cynthia, and Patricia, were the pride and joy of her life. She instilled in them values of compassion, forgiveness, and generosity that will forever guide their paths. Margarita was also blessed with the love and adoration of her grandchildren, Christina, Joe, Michael, Lisa, Leticia, Sarah, and Bobby. Her 23 great-grandchildren brought immense joy and laughter to her life, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.
Margarita's selflessness knew no bounds. She constantly looked for the good in everyone and extended a helping hand to those in need. Her acts of kindness touched the lives of countless individuals, uplifting and inspiring them to be better versions of themselves.
Margarita is survived by her beloved husband, Bruno Martinez Jr., her children, Maria Gamboa (Antonio), Cynthia Martinez, and Patricia Gonzales (Robert), as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicacio and Francisca Inocencio, seven siblings, her great-grandson, Michael Abram Garcia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass celebrating Margarita's life will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Burleson, Texas on December 1, 2023, at 11:00 am. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring and saying goodbye to this remarkable woman. Margarita's legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will forever live on in our hearts.
