Margie Cannon Jordan Wooley

Margie Wooley passed away Thursday January 31, 2019. She was 97 years old.
Funeral: Sunday February 2, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst, TX. Robert Dodson officiating the service. Visitation: Saturday February 2, 2019, 5 to 7 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, TX.
Margie was born December 25, 1921 and raised in Bedford, TX which is now the corner of Airport Freeway and Central Drive. Her mother and daddy, Donie and Adam Cannon had 160 acres where they had a truck farm and 32 head of milk cows. Margie and her sister Roxie would get up every morning at 4 a.m. to milk the cows, then to the fields where they picked acres and acres of cantaloupes and tomatoes.
She was a member of the Riverside Church of Christ, a charter member of both the Eastridge and Midtown churches. At the time of her death she was a member at the Birdville Church of Christ.
Margie retired July 3, 1991 from the Riverside Post Office after 21 years of service.
Margie is preceded in death after 27 years of marriage by her first husband Marlow Jordan and after 30 years of marriage by her late husband Alvie Wooley. Her parents, three sisters Ruby Summerour, Hazel Victor and Roxie Brazzel and two brothers, R.E. Cannon and Lynn Cannon.
Margie is survived by one delightful daughter Sue, son in law Lynn (They may make son in laws as good, but they don't make them any better); three grandchildren, Rodney Irvin, Marla Albritton and Tamra Barnes; three charming in laws, Mary Irvin, Brett Albritton and Mike Barnes; six great-grandchildren, Emilee Kent, Steven Irvin, Kadee Albritton, Christina McGuire, Colton Barnes and Nolan Barnes; great great-grandson Cannon McGuire and soon to be great great-granddaughter Isla Jo Kent on the way.
