Marie Sue Lacey Bettis

HURST -- Marie Sue Lacey Bettis, 80, went to join the Lord on Monday, June 22, 2015.
Graveside service: Was held Wednesday in Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee, Okla.
She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was a teacher and a homemaker who served a term on the Hurst-Euless-Bedford School Board. She earned her degree from Southeast and was a teacher in Kansas City, Mo., and the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Euless.
Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Jim D. Bettis, D.O.
Survivors: Marie was mother to Mark Randall Bettis and wife, Nancy Gail, Richard Dean Bettis, John Douglas Bettis and wife, Kristie Ann; an aunt to Sue Ann Johnson; and a grandmother to Ellen Marie Bettis, Sarah Ruth Bettis, Robert David Bettis, Madison Ryan Lee Bettis, Presley Marie Bettis and Rylee Elaine Bettis. She was dearly loved and will be missed by both friends and family.
