Marie Pauline Moerbe Frieling Williams
Pauline, 95, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Waterford Assisted Living in Plano, TX.
Pauline was born May 18, 1928 at the family farm in Bishop, TX to her parents Lydia and Walter Moerbe She attended St. Paul Lutheran School in Bishop and graduated from Robstown High School.
She met the love of her life on the way to a Walther League Convention (who happened to be hitching on his way to the Convention). One of her friends in the car knew him and they picked him up. The rest is history. They were married July 27, 1947 at St. Pauls’ and celebrated with a barbecue dinner. They had four children, Gary, Vonnie, Rod, and Carla and raised them in Houston, Texas. The Kurt Frieling family were charter members of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Houston. Kurt and Pauline were married for 22 years when Kurt died in 1970.
In 1977 Pauline married Arthur Williams and they lived in the Texas Hill Country for many years. She and Art were charter members of Genesis Lutheran Church, Buchanan Dam, Texas. They were involved in many of the church’s life and loved watching their congregation grow.
In August of 2022 Pauline moved to Plano, Texas to be closer to her children so they could help care for her.
She was preceded into eternal life by her parents and siblings Helen, Dorothy, Esther, Boop, Gladys and grandson-in-law Eric.
Those left to cherish her memory: Sons, Gary and his wife Donna, Rod and his wife Kristine; daughters, Vonnie and her husband Walt, and Carla; Grandchildren, Kurt and his wife Vickie, Nathan and his wife Joy, Joshua and his wife Angie, Kim and her husband Ryan, Heather and her husband Patrick, Amber and her husband Peter, Sara, Amy and her husband Michael, Paul and his wife Jamie; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Kaitlyn, Shay, Boaz, Lydia, Abel, J.T., Hannah and her husband Jarred, Madilyn, Caleb, Addison, Caroline, Thalassa, Eric Jr, Josiah, Elise, Titus, Jude, Peter, Oliver, and Lucy.
