Marilyn Kay Johnston

October 15, 1945 — July 27, 2020

Marilyn Kay (Brawner) Johnston transitioned from her home here on earth to her Heavenly home on July 27’th. Marilyn lived with cancer for ten months. Marilyn peacefully fell asleep with her daughter and hospice nurse at her side. Carepath Hospice supported her for the last couple of weeks on earth.
Marilyn was a wife, mother, and Grandmother. She was survived by her husband of 54 years, Fred Johnston, her daughter, Melissa Bartley, her Grand-daughter Catherine “Cat” Bartley, Grandson David Bartley, and (Grand-son-in-law) Mason Stein.
Marilyn retired from the City of Euless. She enjoyed crafts, she was an active member of her church, and she enjoyed blessing her friends and neighbors with her cards and handmade gifts. Marilyn did not let her cancer slow her down she continued to make cards and things for her friends even after her diagnosis. She was a Blessing to those who knew her.
Her viewing will be 1:00 p.m. Friday July 31’st at Foundation Baptist Church in Euless Texas, her Celebration of Life service will follow at 2: 00 pm at Foundation Baptist Church, and then her Grave Side will be at Corinth Baptist Church (near Canton, Texas). Her resting place will be next to her Mother and Father-in law Zeke and Eva Johnston.
