Marilyn passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday Jan 8, 2025 at her home in Colleyville, Texas. She will always be remembered as a sensitive loving wife, mother, and friend. Marilyn is survived by her husband David, son Jeff (Devon) and daughter Emily (Chris). She has two grandchildren, C.J. and Auska. Her sister Laurie Farnsworth lives in Spokane, Washington.

 Marilyn was born on July 11, 1950 in Idaho Falls to Jay and Bernice Felt. She grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho and Spokane Washington.

She obtained a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Broadcasting and Communications. She worked for a time at the public affairs department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She met and married David in the Salt Lake Temple in 1978.

 She loved being a full-time mom and grandma. She spent her life dedicated to her family, marriage and Church. Throughout her life she served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints as a Stake Relief Society President and councilor. She was a Young Women’s president on two occasions. She served as a Ward Relief Society president, young women’s advisor, girls camp counselor, Sunday school teacher, primary teacher and primary presidency councilor. She served 7 years as a worker in the Dallas Texas LDS Temple. She taught early morning seminary and taught adult institute classes. Later she served as an advisor to the young adults. She loved teaching and being an example to the young women of the church. She had the gift of loving each girl she met and making them feel special. She set an example of feminine grace, faithfulness, beauty, and kindness. She was an excellent pianist and also played the violin. She often performed at church with other musicians or accompanying vocalists. She sang in the church choir.

 Marilyn loved to ski, travel and shop, but most of all loved to be at home with her family. Everyone was always welcome at Marilyn’s house.

 She touched the lives of many people and many generations. Marilyn will be sorely missed by her husband, children, and friends.

 The visitation will be held from 10:00-10:45 am on Tuesday, Jan 14, 2025 followed by the funeral service at t 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 500 West McDonwell School Road, Colleyville, Texas. 76034. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034
