Marilyn Louise Dueser Mitchell met her Lord Jesus October 26, 2021 at the age of 87, in Burleson, Texas. A visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, November 1, 2021 at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home, 518 S.W. Johnson Avenue, in Burleson. Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at First United Methodist Church of Burleson, 590 N.E. McAlister Rd. in Burleson, with burial to follow at 3:00pm at Hope Lutheran Memorial Cemetery, 209 Cemetery St, Buckholts, TX 76518.
Marilyn was born July 8, 1934 in Cameron, Texas to John and Mary Dueser. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur "Tony " Mitchell, where they resided in Burleson, Texas.
Marilyn worked for Lee Way Motor Freight as a cashier for over 20 years and worked as a school bus aid with disabled children at Durham Transportation for Crowley ISD. She served her church on the altar guilt for over 30 years in addition to other roles for her church family. She volunteered within her community for The Harvest House and took any and every opportunity to play games with anyone willing to play.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Aileen Dueser, Lorene Coward, Clara Dueser, Lenora Smolinski; brother, Herbert Dueser; and beloved granddaughter, Heather Ryan.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Mitchell; sons, John Mitchell and Dennis Mitchell; grandchildren, Jennifer Matamoros, Stacy Rasmussen, Melody Padgett, Ryan Mitchell and Markie Stephens; great-grandchildren, Christopher Ryan, Mikhail Ryan, Savannah Ryan, Jaidyn Matamoros, Joel Matamoros, Cason Padgett, Calvin Rasmussen, Kayla Rasmussen, Jeremiah Matamoros, and Julian Stephens; great great grandchildren, Lola Uriostegui and Zoey Uriostegui; nieces, Marlene Pressley and Janice White; nephew, Philip Smolinski; great-nephews, Jon and Michael Pressley, James and Erik White, and cousin, Raymond Dueser.
