Marilyn Arletta Pine, nee Siverling, passed away Tuesday November 7th at age 91 at her home in Keller, TX.
A rosary service will be held at 5:30 PM at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller with visitation 6 to 7:30 PM, Friday, November, 10, 2017. A funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2017. followed by a luncheon. All are welcome.
On January 18th 2018, Marilyn will be honored with interment at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia along with her husband Col. Walter W. Pine USAAC/USAF (Ret.) who passed away on Aug 26, 2017. Marilyn was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania on June 19, 1926.
Marilyn and Walt were married on Veteran's Day Nov 11, 1943 and they traveled together to various assignments, living in CA, TX, VA, OK, KS, and PA, as well as Okinawa. Marilyn volunteered for over 30 years with the Red Cross and has been a Keller resident since 1987. She was also very active in church affairs.
A devoted loving wife and mother who always put family first will be remembered for the times she utilized her skills to nurse her daughters and a dear friend back to good health. She is famous for her talent in the kitchen, especially her holiday baking. Her neighbors, friends, and family looked forward to her Christmas cookies and Thanksgiving pies.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters: Connie Chaneski (Raymond), Janet Klemencic (Daniel), and Patricia Anthony (Thomas); 11 grandchildren: Catherine Vasquez, Caroline and Joseph Chaneski, Stephen and Kevin Flusche, Sarah Sanders, Jeffrey and David Klemencic, Jeanine Bernard, Thomas and Kathleen Anthony and 16 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents: Guy and Regina; siblings: Gerald, Raymond, Clifford, Shirley and Theda; and grandson, Gregory Scott Flusche.
In lieu of flowers, the Pine family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
