Marjorie Verna Denning

Marjorie Moore Denning, age 86, passed into the loving arms of Jesus at home surrounded by family on September 11, 2023.

Margie was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to William and Verna Moore and graduated from Bellevue High School before marrying and eventually settling with her family in Grapevine, Texas. She was a member of Pleasant Glade Baptist Church, where she spent many years serving the Lord as church secretary and a Sunday school teacher.

Margie had a kind and generous heart, always taking care of others before herself. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ruth Tout (James), Nancy Riesmeyer (Herman), Betty Youkers (Don), brother William Moore Jr. (Lowanda), and grandson Andy Denning.

She is survived by her brother Richard Moore (Karla), children David Denning (Cindy) and Connie Thompson (Bill), grandchildren Jacob Hobbs, Kristie Gililland (Kris), Sarah Thompson, Jacob Thompson (Alicia), Toby Denning (Angelina), Katie Smith (Rod), Cassie Brewton (Caleb), Michael Denning (Aleska), Rachel Hobbs-Smith, and 14 great-grandchildren.
