Marjorie Marie Himes Fuller, 90, of North Richland Hills, Texas died on Monday, January 28, 2013.


The family will receive friends for viewing on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel. A procession will follow for her interment at the Grove Hill Memorial Park, 4118 Samuell Boulevard, Dallas, Texas.


Margie was born to the late Clarence and Hattie Himes on January 27, 1923 in Euless, Texas. She was born in Euless but grew up in Grapevine with four sisters and two brothers. She graduated high school and moved to Dallas where she attained her hairdressing license and worked at the Beauty College of Dallas for several years. In Dallas, she met and married Jesse Monroe Fuller on July 22, 1946. They made homes in Dallas, Midland and Houston while he worked for Mobil Oil Corporation. After her husband's death, she moved to Hurst, Texas and later moved to The Wellington in North Richland Hills.


A consummate mother and homemaker, Margie loved baking, sewing, crafting, hairdressing, and gardening. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hurst and loved her Wesley Sunday School friends. She was a member of the United Methodist Women's organization and devoted many hours sewing her needlecraft and baking for their annual Fall Festivals. She made several memorable trips with friends to Switzerland, Canada, Niagara Falls, and Branson.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Hattie Himes of Grapevine; her husband, Jesse Monroe Fuller and siblings; Christine Brooks of Keller; Hermalee Simmons of Flower Mound; Bart Himes of Grapevine; and two siblings who died in infanthood and childhood, Eva Himes and Edward Himes.


She is survived by her sister, Mildred Thiede of Grapevine; sons, Gary Fuller and wife Vicky of North Richland Hills; Mark Fuller and wife Terry of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Trevor and wife Clara of Fort Worth; Leah and husband Gerry of Saginaw; Jesse and Alice, students at A&M University, College Station; two great-grandchildren, Jael and Wyatt; sister-in-laws, Francil Hejl and Linda Neeley of Dallas and numerous nieces and nephews.


The family gives special gratitude to her loving and faithful companions and caregivers, Sheri Carr and Connie Coleman and many other caregivers that provided care in her final days from The Wellington, Vitas Hospice and the Taysa agency.
